All I want for Christmas is peace 

Dear Santa, 

This Christmas, I only want one thing, my Mumma. I still remember the night, the yelling, men barging into our house, Papa running out of the house, holding me as he ran out,  leaving Mumma. I don't know where she is, and Papa doesn't tell me either. He has been sad since then. Aunty tells me everything will be okay after Christmas, but that's what she said last year too. She tells me that the big men from Delhi will come and fix everything. Why haven't they come till now? 

Why is everyone angry? Why does everyone hate everyone? Even Papa carries a gun now. I miss my friends, the green fields we played in, sitting under the old banana tree with the big leaves. 

Santa, make my village normal again. I miss my old life. Bring back my Mumma. I want to go home.
