The Supreme Court agreed with the Indian politicians and ruled in the EWS reservation on November 7th, which allows a 10% reservation in academics and government jobs. Now they aim to go beyond caste and look at the economically weaker sections. Income should never be a factor in making reservations. The economically disadvantaged groups that are tormented or harassed for using a chair or drinking from a well are the ones who will never benefit from reservations since the higher castes would also dominate them there.
